Investment Thesis
Long memory. Decisive action.
The Remington Capital thesis is simple: deploy patient, proprietary capital across venture, growth, buyout and property, and stay close enough to the business to influence the outcome. Our edge is not a model — it is the accumulated experience of having operated, acquired and exited businesses through multiple cycles, from a Sydney base with a global investment mandate.
How we invest
We partner with management teams as owners, not observers. That means we show up in the business: hiring, supply chains, pricing, capital structure and board dynamics. We invest with the patience that only permanent capital allows, and the accountability that comes from having run businesses ourselves.
Our verticals
Venture Capital
We back founder-led businesses with durable competitive positions and the discipline to reach profitability. We are not momentum investors — we look for conviction, clear accountability and capital efficiency.
Growth Equity
We scale proven operators at inflection points, providing capital and hands-on support to accelerate expansion without forcing unnatural pace or unsustainable burn.
Buyout
We acquire controlling stakes in established businesses where operational improvement, not financial engineering, creates lasting value.
Property
We take long-tenor real-asset positions focused on yield, capital preservation and strategic locations across the regions we know.
What we look for
Founder-led or management-run
We back teams with skin in the game, clear accountability and the ability to execute through cycles.
Durable competitive position
We look for defendable advantages, recurring revenue or difficult-to-replicate assets.
Profitable economics
A clear path to profitability, strong unit economics and disciplined capital allocation.
Cross-border potential
Businesses that can scale globally.
Sydney base, global investment mandate
We invest globally from a Sydney base. Australia is our home market and the anchor for our network, but our mandate has no borders: we review opportunities across the Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom, Europe and North America on the same terms.
Being Sydney-based shapes how we work rather than where we look. It means an owner's time zone discipline, direct relationships with founders and vendors, and a preference for opportunities where our operating experience and cross-border network genuinely add value.
